TRM94 is a compact digital headend device used in TV / satellite installations. It’s made to take in multiple satellite feeds (plus optional HDMI or USB inputs) and convert them into terrestrial or cable-TV style outputs (DVB-T or DVB-C) for distribution.

Product Description
Product specification

  • 4 Satellite Inputs, 8 Tuners (DVB-S / S2 / BISS) It can receive from up to 4 LNB inputs (e.g. from a quad LNB on a satellite dish), splitting those to feed 8 tuners. That lets it pull in up to 8 different satellite transponders (satellite channels / multiplexes).
  • Additional Inputs: HDMI & USB Besides satellite inputs, there is an HDMI input (so you could bring in a local or external source like a receiver or decoder) and a USB input (accepting .ts files etc) to add content or channels that are not from the satellite feeds.
  • Output Formats: DVB-T / COFDM or DVB-C / QAM Once the input signals are collected, the TRM94 can re-modulate / transmodulate them into up to 4 output multiplexes (“MUXes”) in either terrestrial digital format (DVB-T/COFDM) or cable format (DVB-C/QAM). This makes it suitable for feeding coaxial cable networks or building internal TV infrastructure.
  • Output Channels / Frequency Ranges The outputs use 4 adjacent channels (i.e. consecutive frequencies). Frequencies can be in the UHF band (for DVB-T/terrestrial style output) or in the broader range suitable for cable (DVB-C). The UHF band might include things like ~170-230 MHz or ~470-862 MHz for DVB-T, depending on national allocation.
  • Signal / Output Level The unit offers reasonably strong output (in some specs cited > 90 dBµV) which is adequate for smaller installations without additional amplification. For larger systems, extra amplification or “launch amps” may be needed.
